Our Breeding Objective

The breeding objective at Spry’s is to breed Shorthorn Cattle with the ability to be:

  1. Functional
  2. Fertile
  3. Fast growing
  4. High yielding
  5. Strong maternal Shorthorns with the genetics to marble, give consistent meat and carcass quality and meet Domestic, Supermarket, Export and EU market specifications.

Auction and Private Treaty Sales

An on-property Bull and Genetics sale is held annually at Wagga Wagga in April. Spry’s sells both bulls and registered females at auction, and by private treaty throughout the year. Group Breedplan data, along with carcase data is provided (e.g. EMA, Fat, EBV’s and bull’s service tested).

Bulls are sold off grass and silage, and these bulls are working well in all states of Australia.
